Stephen Paul Wilson
is a truly a local lad, born in East London in 1954 he has always been a keen
and prolific artist. Like many great artists he has never received any formal
training but has rather honed his craft to perfection by practise and an astonishing
eye for detail, colour and the 'spirit ' of what he paints.
)
It would be much easier to describe this remarkable artist's work if he had a
'specialist subject' so to speak, the fact of the matter is that, having seen
his portfolio, he appears to excel in any area he chooses. I have seen literally
dozens of his pet portraits, many bereaved owners entrust the image of their dearly
beloved pet to his sensitive and accurate brush strokes. His technical work is
also excellent, a recent portrait of St Pauls Cathedral is both architecturally
accurate and utterly beautiful from an artistic interpretation point of view.

Steve is a regular stall holder at the famed Greenwich art and craft market, you
can buy one of his limited edition prints or commission a pet or human portrait
to be done from a photograph. This type of gift is exceptionally popular around
Christmas time so do book early if you would like Steve to paint you one of these
portraits as a gift.
